Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Global Fleet Operations Manager and in alignment with the Global Fleet Service Provision Lead in Dubai, the Consultant Supply Chain (Customer Service) will support customer engagement, fleet service delivery, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement initiatives across WFP’s Global Fleet operations.
This role is ideal for professionals with experience in supply chain management, logistics, fleet operations, customer service, or stakeholder engagement within international organizations or humanitarian settings.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Stakeholder Engagement
- Ensure efficient delivery of Global Fleet services to country offices across the region.
- Serve as the primary contact point between clients and the Global Fleet team.
- Maintain strong relationships with Country Offices, Regional Bureaus, and external partners.
- Support customer onboarding, training, and feedback initiatives.
- Promote transparency, responsiveness, and service excellence.
Business Development & Partnerships
- Develop new customer relationships within WFP and with external partners.
- Identify partnership opportunities and promote fleet service offerings.
- Support the design and development of new customer-focused services.
Operational Coordination
- Collaborate with technical and operational teams to improve service delivery.
- Streamline workflows and strengthen coordination mechanisms.
- Support customer engagement strategies and performance monitoring.
Systems & Digitalization
- Ensure accuracy and usability of the Global Fleet Portal.
- Promote effective data management and system functionality.
- Support digital transformation initiatives aimed at improving customer service.
Reporting & Change Management
- Contribute to reporting, visibility, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Support communication and change management efforts.
- Promote a client-centric culture within fleet operations.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Advanced University Degree (Master’s Degree or equivalent) in:
- Logistics
- Supply Chain Management
- International Relations
- Or a related field
Experience
- Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in:
- Fleet management
- Workshop management
- Logistics
- Procurement
- Supply chain management
- Related operational fields
Added Advantages:
- Customer service or stakeholder engagement experience.
- Business development experience.
- Humanitarian or emergency response experience.
- Field experience managing fleets and workshops in complex environments.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of fleet and transport operations.
- Knowledge of procurement and transport contracting procedures.
- Experience with fleet management systems and tracking tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within multicultural teams.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and mechanical operations is an added advantage.
