About the Company
NIC Life Assurance Company Limited is a subsidiary of NIC Holdings Limited, established in 2014 to handle life insurance business in compliance with Uganda’s insurance regulations.
The company is now hiring Bank Service Officers (BCOs) to drive its growing bancassurance business.
Job Overview
The Bank Service Officer (BCO) will be responsible for selling insurance products within partner bank branches, building relationships with bank staff, and converting leads into business.
This is a sales-driven role suited for candidates who are confident, target-oriented, and customer-focused.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and prospect clients within bank branches
- Promote and sell insurance products
- Conduct presentations and close sales deals
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets
Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with bank staff (Branch Managers, Tellers, Loan Officers)
- Act as a liaison between the insurer and partner bank (e.g., DFCU)
- Ensure smooth collaboration and referral generation
Operations & Customer Service
- Guide clients through policy details and documentation
- Support claims processes and customer inquiries
- Maintain professionalism in banking environments
Reporting & Compliance
- Submit regular sales and activity reports
- Track performance against KPIs
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Sales targets (Gross Written Premium)
- Conversion rates from leads to closed deals
- Customer retention and satisfaction
- Accuracy in documentation
- Relationship quality with partner bank branches
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Insurance, or related field
- Experience in sales, marketing, or customer service (insurance/financial sector is an added advantage)
- Knowledge of bancassurance or banking operations is a plus

Remuneration
- Retainer: UGX 300,000 per month
