About the Job
KCB Bank Uganda is looking for a Branch Teller to join its Nansana branch. This is a great entry point for fresh graduates who want to build a career in banking and customer service, no prior work experience required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle cash and cheque transactions across the counter
- Stay within approved teller transaction and cash holding limits
- Maintain proper filing of cashier summaries and related correspondence
- Receive and record cheque deposits accurately
- Identify and correct errors flagged in the daily cash report
- Verify other tellers’ daily vouchers against the daily report
- Collect all revenue due to the bank
- Cross-sell bank products and drive referrals against set targets
- Follow due diligence procedures as outlined in the operations manual
- Deliver excellent customer service at every interaction
- Perform any other duties assigned by management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- A university degree in a business-related field; a professional banking qualification is an added advantage
- Good understanding of banking products, services, and the wider consumer banking space
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A results-driven mindset with a passion for performance
- Self-motivated, flexible, and detail-oriented
- Willingness to embrace new ideas in a fast-changing business environment
