The Utilities Operator will report directly to the Utilities Controller and will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of utilities equipment to support continuous plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

Operate and monitor utilities plant equipment including:
Boilers
CO2 supply systems
Air compressors
Water treatment systems
Refrigeration units
Conduct routine inspections and monitor key operating parameters
Troubleshoot faults and escalate breakdowns promptly
Perform root cause analysis for all recorded breakdowns
Carry out first-line maintenance
Support planned and unplanned shutdowns
Ensure compliance with:
SHEQ standards
Food safety standards
GMP requirements
Support energy efficiency and plant optimization initiatives
Maintain accurate daily logs and utilities reports

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Diploma in:
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Or any related technical field
Added Advantage
Certification in Boiler Operations
Experience Required
At least 2 years of relevant technical experience
Experience in utilities plant operations within an FMCG environment
