Job Summary

UNAIDS Uganda is seeking a creative and motivated Online Volunteer to support digital communications efforts through content creation and graphic design. The volunteer will help strengthen the organization’s presence on social media platforms, particularly X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a social media content calendar aligned with national and international events.
• Create engaging digital content including:
  • Social media captions
  • Infographics
  • Graphics
  • Photos
  • Short videos
• Ensure all content complies with UNAIDS branding and corporate design guidelines.
• Review communication guidance materials to maintain consistent messaging.
• Support the design and layout of the quarterly newsletter using Canva templates.
• Prepare a final report summarizing activities, outputs, and achievements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience creating content for X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Basic graphic design skills, preferably using Canva.
• Ability to work collaboratively in virtual environments.
• Willingness to receive guidance and feedback.

Added Advantages

• Experience in communications related to:
  • Human rights
  • Public health
  • Advocacy campaigns
• Knowledge of the HIV/AIDS landscape in Uganda and Tanzania.

Language Requirement

• Fluent English (written and spoken).
