Job Overview

Airtel Uganda is hiring a Voice Executive to lead customer engagement, retention strategies, and voice product growth for prepaid customers.

This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in marketing, telecom, or FMCG, who are passionate about data-driven customer experience and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Strategy

• Develop and lead prepaid customer engagement and retention strategies
• Drive growth in customer spend, usage, and lifetime value
• Design personalized customer journeys and automated engagement campaigns

Campaign Management

• Plan and execute campaigns across SMS, USSD, app, WhatsApp, and digital channels
• Manage real-time and event-based customer communication
• Ensure accurate campaign configuration, testing, and deployment

Data & Performance

• Use analytics and test-and-learn approaches to optimize campaigns
• Monitor performance and continuously improve customer engagement strategies
• Benchmark competitor activities and refine offerings

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Marketing, IT, Networks, Customer Experience, and Finance teams
• Ensure seamless rollout of customer initiatives

Digital Transformation

• Drive migration from assisted channels (retail, call centers) to self-service platforms
• Promote adoption of bundled voice services and increase usage

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Postgraduate qualification (e.g., CIM or MBA) is an added advantage
• 3–5 years’ experience in marketing (product development focus)
• 1–2 years’ management experience
• Experience in telecommunications or FMCG industry
